Now a days, everyone talks about visiting mars or sending out another satellite in space, but you rarely hear anyone speak about exploring the center of the Earth. Yes that is the planet you and I both are currently on, to eliminate any confusion. What we think we know about the Earth may be barely enough. But good news my friends! A newly revamped X-ray beam facility in Europe may be able to improve our knowledge of the Earth, and shed some light on what is going on at the center of our planet.
