Walt Disney Studios is moving forward with the 'Tron Legacy' sequel. According to the Hollywood Reporter, new Disney head Alan Horn has put the project back on the fast track. Screenwriter Jesse Wigutow is to pen the script. Wigutow has worked with Disney, having previously worked with the Mouse House on an adaptation of Peter and the Starcatchers and also is working on The Crow reboot.
With Disney moving forward on the project, you can expect to see its three stars: Garrett Hedlund (Sam Flynn), Olivia Wilde (Quorra) and Jeff
Bridges. Based on the teasers the company released, you might see Disney move to lock in
Cillian Murphy to take on a larger villain role in the film.
This is the third installment in its classic eye-popping visuals, techno-thriller, which made moderate success worldwide. You can also bet that loads of
Daft Punk will be in the film. As to when or what details on the movie will be released is unknown at this point, but keep tuned in for any news or information in the near future.
