Captain America The First Avenger
Captain America: The First Avenger coming to theaters July 22, 2011!!! I cannot wait for this film, Yes I am a Marvel fan! As I always say Marvel > DC. Well to be honest I like so many comics DC too. I just like to say Marvel > DC, for giggles. Well let's get to the details of this upcoming movie!
Captain America is a fictional comic book character superhero published by Marvel Comics. The movie focuses on the early days of Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers in an experimental program that turns him into a Super Soldier known as Captain America. He wears a costume that has the American flag motif and has and indestructible shield that can be thrown as a weapon. He teams up with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
Captain America first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941), from Marvel Comics' 1940's predecessor, Timely Comics, and was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Captain America was the First Marvel Comics character.
Captain America played by Chris Evans describes how brutal the workout was to get his body built for this film. "It was grueling," Evans said. "It was brutal and I'd find any excuse possible not to go. But i had to do it. The gym wasn't anything special." Chris Evans also sustained some injuries from the workout. "The key is dedication", says Chris. Chris Evans speaks about workouts and that you don't have to go crazy with them or even diet. He actually despises diets and treadmills. He is quoted saying they are "like pulling out teeth."
Chris Evans is known for his role in films Not Another Teen Movie, Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
This movie is highly recommended by me! It's going to be big! We comic book fans have been waiting long for this and I may speak for DC comic book fans too, they have some respect for Captain America. This summer has been an incredible summer with movies and they are taking us further for the rest of the year! If you're going to midnight showing like I am, wear your Captain America shirt, logo, etc. , go all out! And I will see you there!
