Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is in a bit of a mess as you can see in the above trailer.  From the assault by The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) to Tony and Rhodey (Don Cheadle) putting together an Iron Man Army, let's not forget to mention the unofficial Hulk Buster Design!

This trailer has to definitely get you to go watch the movie in theaters. Iron Man 3 looks like a well planned, action packed, emotion driven, edge of your seat kind of storyline.

Marvel Movie 'Ant-Man' Movie Gets Official Release Date

Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios have set an official release date for the Ant-Man movie.Disney just updated their schedule of upcoming releases for the next three years.  On this list you see many movies, but at the bottom of the list was a very pleasant title which read:

ANT-MAN is now dated on 11/6/15 wide (Marvel)

There it is! Ant-Man will be helmed by Edgar Wright, British director and director Joe Cornish (Attack The Block).

Wright screened Ant-Man test footage at the San Diego Comic Con Festival in July (2012), He and Marvel President of Production Kevin Feige premiered an incomplete test footage of an Ant-Man action sequence to showcase the relatively miniature character and how his ability to alter his size could work in a live action film. The film will not begin shooting the movie until he completes The World's End, his latest project with Pegg.

Dr. Henry ‘Hank’ Pym – alter ego Ant-Man a brilliant scientist who invents a shrinking serum that makes him insect size. When he is Ant-Man he is able to solve mysteries and take out the bad guys!

"One day he discovered a process in which he would manipulate a newly discovered group of subatomic particles through magnetic fields. Pym tested the serums on himself, and had accidentally shrunk himself to the size of an ant and was trapped inside an anthill. Once normal sized, Pym destroyed the serums, thinking that they were too dangerous . He rethought his decision, and recreated the serums, dubbing them "Pym Particles" and developing a formula that would enable himself to shrink and return to normal size. He also worked on a cybernetic helmet to enable him to communicate and study ants." - Marvel

Although Ant-Man has never appeared on screen before, there are rumors that he could feature in The Avengers 2 before he stars in his own movie.

Mark Millar to Work on Fox's Marvel Upcoming Adaptation!

In recent news, Ultimate X-Men writer Mark Millar has been chosen to serve as a creative consultant for Twentieth Century Fox's upcoming projects based on Marvel Comics properties.  Comic Book movies keep rising to the top in Hollywood, it's like Comic book movies hit the movie jack pot, being that recently "Marvel Studios demonstrated that just like in the comics, separate stories and characters can be brought together in a shared, interconnected cinematic universe." - Rob Keyes

Twentieth Century Fox plans to do the same with the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises and they’ve hired Mark Millar to be their very own mastermind on the future projects. He will help guide the future X-Men movies along with Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot.

Upcoming for the studio is "The Wolverine," starring Hugh Jackman, directed by James Mangold; "X-Men: Days of Future Past," directed by Matthew Vaughn; and a reboot of Fantastic Four, to be directed by Josh Trank ("Chronicle").
Mark Millar, writer for The Ultimates and Marvel’s successful Civil War crossover as well as "Wolverine: Old Man Logan," is also founder of Millarworld (millarworld.tv), where he continues to develop existing film franchise titles Wanted and Kick-Ass, as well as newer comic properties The Secret Service, Superior and Nemesis.

Here is Millar's Official Statement:
“As someone who has spent his entire life obsessed with both comic books and movies, this is essentially my dream gig as it's a unique combination of both,” stated Millar. “I spent ten years working at Marvel and am really happy with the work I did on the comic side of things so the idea of working with these characters now in a brand new medium is enormously exciting for me. I really like the Fox team, love this bold new direction they have for their franchises and am proud to be working alongside some of modern cinema's biggest talents. James Mangold is incredible, Matthew Vaughn's one of my closest pals and Josh Trank gave us, in my opinion, one of the greatest superhero movies of the last decade with 'Chronicle.' The invitation to join this crew was maybe the coolest phone call I've ever had.”

The Wolverine hits theaters July 26, 2013.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on July 18th, 2014.

Thanos will be featured in both "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "The Avengers 2"

There has been a lot of news regarding Marvel's mad titan, Thanos, in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "The Avengers 2" involvement.  In recent news, Thanos will be featured in both films as the main villain.

The Tesseract, or the Cosmic Cube referred to as, became the main enchilada that drove the plot of The Avengers, putting together the characters we have met over the last few years in the films.  These characters went into battle against Loki and his army of alien invaders.  But as we learned that Loki was merely a servant to something greater.

Joss Whedon has got some big ideas, so Thanos might be a major part of them. Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor 2 will provide more insight into Thanos’ role – especially if  Odin’s vault is, indeed, robbed.   The Infinity Gauntlet in Odin’s vault, likely meant that Thanos’ appearance was confirmation of his central role in several future films. Marvel President of Production Kevin Feige talked about the fan reaction to Thanos on MTV's Splash page:
“There’s a great track record now about lobbing something in at the last moment to get the audience buzzing[...] Particularly when it came to Thanos, [we knew] that most people in that audience had no idea who that purple guy was — but they could clearly tell he was important, and knew if they asked the two or three people sitting next to them, somebody would know who he was.
“Clearly, there’s a purpose to us putting him in the end of that movie. We do have plans for him[...] I wouldn’t say we ever feel the need to rush anything one way or the other. We succeeded in Phase One because we stuck to our guns and stuck to the plan. That plan took place over many, many years and it ultimately paid off. I see Phase Two unfolding in the same way of us taking our time, us doing what’s right for each individual movie, while folding in elements that will not only build up to the culmination of Phase Two, but even Phase Three.”
It sounds like Marvel is going to prepare us for an all-out cosmic insanity! The full Marvel ‘Phase Two’ release schedule is as follows: Iron Man 3 hits theaters on May 3rd, 2013, Thor: The Dark World on November 8th, 2013, Captain America: The Winter Soldier on April 4th, 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1st, 2014, and The Avengers 2 on May 1st, 2015.

'Iron Man 3' Concept Art for Comic Con 2012

From Entertainment Weekly, this is our first look at Marvel Studio Concept Art for 'Iron Man 3' that is going to be displayed at Comic Con 2012.  The artwork is by Ryan Meinerding who has worked as a visual development supervisor on many big-budget heavily CG films.  Although not much is being revealed here, it features Tony Stark surrounded by unfriendly's with heavy machine guns and his armor only partially on.

Entertainment Weekly released a real good article so just click on the link above and read on, it's interesting on what we are seeing here and what we are not.  Marvel Studio's will be handing out posters on this concept art at San Diego Comic Con next week.

Here is part of the article by Entertainment Weekly:

"No bracelet.  It’s well-known that Iron Man 3 is borrowing some plot points from the 2005-2006 comics series Extremis, by Warren Ellis and Adi Granov, in which a critically wounded Stark is injected with a serum that fuses his body to the armor. In that story, Stark says he wants “to wire the armor directly into my brain,” and the nanotechnology serum allows microscopic machines to live within his body. They form a control sheath so he can drawn the armor to his body at will."

‘Days of Future Past’ Title for the X-Men: First Class Sequel?

With X-Men: First Class officially on the way, due in theaters on July 18, 2014, with the cast and director Matthew Vaughn all expected to return for the sequel, there is news going around that that 20th Century Fox has reached out to the MPAA to secure a title for the 'X-Men First Class' forthcoming sequel

Now if this news update appears true, that title is going to send a wave of explosion of geek excitement across the world.  If you're an X-Men fan, you know this goes directly into Marvel Universe, which remains to be one of the most famous and amazing X-Men story lines of all time.

The title “Days of Future Past” is taken from the two-issue Uncanny X-Men comic book storyline written in 1981 by legendary X-Men writer/artist team Chris Claremont and John Byrne.  In the story, the X-Men are trying to stop the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (led by Mystique) from killing an anti-mutant political figure named Senator Robert Kelly. This pivotal event creates a separate timeline in which the X-Men fail to stop the Kelly assassination, and as a result, mutants are hunted, imprisoned and exterminated by humanity. One X-Man (Terminator-style future dystopia) manages to travel back in time and warn the present day X-Men, who ultimately stop the assassination. Not to mention, 'Days of Future Past', mutant-killing Sentinel robots, an older version of Wolverine and more. Which all would be awesome to watch on the big screenAnd I might be on a height of excitement here but this plot could also open the door for the franchise to introduce time-hopping X-Men like Bishop or Cable to the mix.

'Days of Future Past' is an awesome story alone and would help welcome anything that could straighten out the continuity of the movie. Meaning this could give 20th Century Fox new options on how to approach upcoming X-Men films.

New Poster for 'The Wolverine'?

Screen Rant has revealed what possibly could be the new poster for 'The Wolverine', which was taken from Mangold’s offices where the first look at The Wolverine may have leaked through an Instagram photo.  Screen Rant straightened out the photo for a clearer image. But what do you think of what may be the first teaser poster for The Wolverine?

Although production for 'The Wolverine' is not scheduled until fall, it may seem a little early for a teaser poster. Screen Rant did state that they have contacted Fox to verify the validity of the image and will update everyone accordingly.

"The style of the poster screams ’80s (when the Japanese story arc was told in the books) and its simplicity and font of the title work very well to get the message across to fans knowledgeable of the books and fans who simply enjoy Jackman’s take on the character in the films." - Screen Rant

The Wolverine release date July 26, 2013.
