'Iron Man 3' New Details *Spoilers*

In recent news, Simon Philips, the President of Marvel Entertainment International, recently attended a presentation in São Paulo, Brazil. It was there, where he unloaded some very cool details for Shane Black's Iron Man 3, according to the Omelete.

Now before we jump right into it, I suggest you turn back now, because I am about to release some awesome details and spoilers!

                                                                    *****
                                                                 SPOILERS!
                                                                    *****

In the presentation, Phillips first began to speak about Tony Stark’s Extremis abilities in the film, where Robert Downey Jr. undergoes a medical procedure and injects himself with the Extremis virus. Extremis blurs the lines between Stark being a man vs. machine (a very important theme of the film). Also, the film is mostly based on Warren Ellis' miniseries, where Stark can interface with technology around him, and when it comes to his armor, he can summon pieces of his armor to himself at will, even from a distance.

Phillips also points out that Stark mixes and matches armor pieces from various different suits to come up with unique armor, making custom configurations. New designs with up to 16, and also included would be classic designs from Marvel Comics.
Now this second spoiler, I'm going to bring it back to Comic Con 2012 during Marvel's Panel Presentation, where a fan asked if Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) will ever wear her own armor suit, like the Rescue armor from the books.  That's when Marvel President of Production Kevin Feige responded “We all want to see Pepper Potts ‘kick a little ass’ in her own suit.”

Well I'm here to tell you that Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow ) will wear her own armor. Remember in the comics, Tony saved his beloved from a fate similar to his - the shrapnel threatening heart - giving her an armor called Redemption. Also before I leave you all here, I wanted to point out the image above, which was captured from one of the scenes in the trailer, maybe Pepper Potts?

Thanos will be featured in both "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "The Avengers 2"

There has been a lot of news regarding Marvel's mad titan, Thanos, in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "The Avengers 2" involvement.  In recent news, Thanos will be featured in both films as the main villain.

The Tesseract, or the Cosmic Cube referred to as, became the main enchilada that drove the plot of The Avengers, putting together the characters we have met over the last few years in the films.  These characters went into battle against Loki and his army of alien invaders.  But as we learned that Loki was merely a servant to something greater.

Joss Whedon has got some big ideas, so Thanos might be a major part of them. Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor 2 will provide more insight into Thanos’ role – especially if  Odin’s vault is, indeed, robbed.   The Infinity Gauntlet in Odin’s vault, likely meant that Thanos’ appearance was confirmation of his central role in several future films. Marvel President of Production Kevin Feige talked about the fan reaction to Thanos on MTV's Splash page:
“There’s a great track record now about lobbing something in at the last moment to get the audience buzzing[...] Particularly when it came to Thanos, [we knew] that most people in that audience had no idea who that purple guy was — but they could clearly tell he was important, and knew if they asked the two or three people sitting next to them, somebody would know who he was.
“Clearly, there’s a purpose to us putting him in the end of that movie. We do have plans for him[...] I wouldn’t say we ever feel the need to rush anything one way or the other. We succeeded in Phase One because we stuck to our guns and stuck to the plan. That plan took place over many, many years and it ultimately paid off. I see Phase Two unfolding in the same way of us taking our time, us doing what’s right for each individual movie, while folding in elements that will not only build up to the culmination of Phase Two, but even Phase Three.”
It sounds like Marvel is going to prepare us for an all-out cosmic insanity! The full Marvel ‘Phase Two’ release schedule is as follows: Iron Man 3 hits theaters on May 3rd, 2013, Thor: The Dark World on November 8th, 2013, Captain America: The Winter Soldier on April 4th, 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1st, 2014, and The Avengers 2 on May 1st, 2015.

'Saving Private Ryan' Screen Writer to revise 'Thor 2' Script!

Apparently Saving Private Ryan screenwriter Robert Rodat has been hired by Marvel to revise Don Payne's script to Thor 2.  Robert Rodat is reworking the script for Thor 2 to better fit director Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) version of Thor 2. Now that's some interesting and encouraging news, being that Rodat is some good talent to have for a movie that takes place after 'The Avengers.'

"Plot of the Thor sequel is that it will focus on both the relationship(s) between Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Odin (Anthony Hopkins), and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), as well as “the broader stakes for The Nine Worlds,” in reaction to the events of both the first film and The Avengers. - (according to Marvel president Kevin Feige)"

Thor 2 is set for a U.S. release on November 15, 2013
