EA & Visceral are proud to announce “Army of TWO: The Devil’s Cartel”! Just announced today, the game will feature a co-op game play that follows the story of Tactical Worldwide Operations as they 'fight through the streets of Mexico.'
This is the third installment by EA on the Army Of Two game released back in 2008 and the following sequel Army Of Two 40th Day in 2010. Although EA has not confirmed any details of the game but back in December a rumor suggested that the game would feature a four player co-op. EA has not confirmed it true for 'The Devil's Cartel', but until they released more information on the game due out in March 2013, there should be more details.
Army Of Two:
"Get
ready to team up and face off against the most powerful drug cartel in
Mexico, with the ultimate in cooperative gameplay. We’ve got Frostbite 2
under the hood, the only game engine powerful enough to show off the
destruction and firepower you’ll unleash. We’ve got more customization
than ever before, letting you add your own personal touches to
anti-personnel weaponry. Finally, we’ve taken co-op to the next level by
requiring more teamwork, creating a smarter AI, and adding an Overkill
button that does exactly as advertised."
"Just remember for the T.W.O, war is serious business."
It is unclear if the game is based of EA Comics, 'Army Of Two Across The Border', I read comics and particularly own this one. This story sounds very, very similar, and if the game is based off the comic, I know it is going to be an amazing game!
So stay tuned for more details as EA releases more information in the next few days. The game will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. On August 7, 2012 the 'Cartel From Hell' is coming to www.armyoftwo.com, so be on the look out!
Release Date: March 2013
