Ben Affleck Approached by Warner Bros. to Direct 'Justice League'

It has been a challenging path for Warner Bros. to begin organizing comic book action films for their DC Comic lineup.  But Variety recently released an article that Warner Bros. has approached Ben Affleck to direct 'Justice League.'  He will be talking with Warner Bros. the next few days about directing the film.  With only a few movies, Affleck has written and directed "The Town" also "Gone Baby Gone" and Warner Bros. upcoming "Argo."

Warner Bros. took control of DC Comics back in 2009, putting the comic book company back in the studio as DC entertainment to better manage the company.  DC Comics 'Justice League' might be what most fans have been waiting for, the response to Marvel's Avengers, where they will bring together characters Batman and Superman, as well as Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash.

Although Affleck has made it clear that he's only interested in directing films in which he also stars in.  If he goes forward, this may take him out of circulation as a director for a few years. But He could still fit in an acting career at Warner Bros.

"Justice League" won't likely be ready for release until summer 2015, which could put it up right against Marvel's "Avengers 2," which has Joss Whedon returning to helm." - Variety
