Fuse: The Lethal Four Game Preview

Fuse, first announced as Overstrike at E3 2011, the game’s original feel from Insomniac was bringing a shooter experience to the third person with the slick, comedic, cartoonish tone. But since the name change to Fuse, it now has a much darker tone and less cartoonish than the original, giving it more of a serious edge.
The game is meant to be played in a team of four, at all times, even if A.I. has to step in for those playing solo. With mission structures that are objective driven, it also has a unique LEAP feature that lets you shift from one character to another!  Check out the video and read more below!

About Fuse:
What happens when humans gain access to powerful alien technology they were never meant to have? When a volatile energy source called Fuse falls into the wrong hands, the CIA calls in an elite contact team to retrieve it: Overstrike 9. Join up to three friends in team-based co-op play as you take down the rogue paramilitary corporation behind the theft. Use lethal teamwork, coordinate devastating attacks, and provide cover for one another with fringe-tech weapons and gadgets. The unique LEAP feature lets you instantly shift from agent to agent during combat, allowing you to take advantage of each one’s special arsenal. You’ll need your teammates and their firepower to stop a global arms race from spinning out of control.
Release Date: Fuse will hit retail shelves in March 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360

Medal Of Honor Warfighter | Pakistan Car Chase Gameplay Trailer

This is the newest trailer for Medal Of Honor Warfighter, coming on October 23, 2012.  Can Frostbite Engine 2 get any more awesome that this? Yes, that was actual gameplay on the upcoming Medal Of Honor Warfighter. SEAL Team 6 was on a combat training series mission and it involved a action packed car chase! I don't think I need to say more, but this game is the most anticipated authentic military game this year!
"Take control as you race through the streets of Karachi, Pakistan in this heart-pounding car chase. Preacher and his team must capture the terrorist sniper, their only lead to hunting down the mastermind behind the PETN global terror threat.
Combat driving is a critical skill in urban environments. Ambushes happen at a moment's notice. Being able to instantaneously flip that switch from normal to full on and tactfully using your vehicle as your weapon can help you live to fight another day.

About the SEAL Team 6 Combat Training Series

Medal of Honor Warfighter is the most authentic shooter on the market this year. This authenticity is derived from expert consultation with nearly two dozen real world Tier 1 Operators. In this one-of-a-kind, 10-part Combat Training series, learn the mindset of the most elite warriors on the planet from members of SEAL Team 6 and global Operators from around the world."

Need for Speed Movie in the Works

That's right, Need for Speed movie is in the works.  Yesterday news came out that DreamWorks has acquired the movie rights to the franchise with EA to produce it with John Gatins and Mark Sourian. Director Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) is attached to direct the film, for a 2014 release.

"I'm excited about getting back into the creative trenches with John and George Gatins and my partners at EA to bring to life an exhilarating script based on an epic video game that seems to have been made for the movies," said Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks Chairman. "This is a big piece of business for DreamWorks and we are grateful to Frank Gibeau, Pat O'Brien, Kevin Maher and John and George for choosing us to deliver their goods."

The film  is planned as a "fast-paced, high-octane film honoring the tradition of the awesome super fast car culture films of the 70s while being extremely faithful to the spirit of the video game franchise.

Now for the outcome of this movie, who knows, but we all know that almost every movie made from a video game is always terrible.  With that being said, it involved fast cars, I am curious on the outcome on this film. I have played every Need for Speed game ever made, I mean who doesn't like fast cars? Just saying. But with Scott Waugh to direct it, this might actually have some potential.  Act of Valor is on my favorites list, with all the action packed scenes, it was intense.  So we'll just have to wait and see how this all turns out.

Release Date:  2014

New Need For Speed Announced!

A new Need For Speed game was announced during EA's investor conference today.  The publisher has also dated the release of a new Need for Speed title in the fourth quarter this year, which should be sometime in the fall. No specifics were given about the game as of yet,  but we expect EA to make a big announcement at E3 next month.

"There’s no further information today but watch for several big product announcements from EA at E3 in June," a spokesperson said.

The game has yet to be officially announced.

Will keep you updated as more information comes in.

EA Announces Crysis 3 Release Date

EA announced during its annual investor conference today that it plans to invest up to $80 million in development for games on the next generation console systems in the fiscal year of 2013.  EA also provided investors with a firm release date on Crysis 3, which they say will release in the first quarter of 2013.

The original Crysis first released on the PC, and Crytek thinks that the community is deserves its rewards, especially in the visual department.  "We're definitely pushing the game a lot from a visual standpoint, and for sure there's going to be visual goodies in it that you can only get if you have a super-high-end PC," Crytek says it will offer high-end PC users extra "visual goodies" when it releases next year.  "At the same time, we want to ensure if you don't have a super-high-end PC, the game will still look amazing.  On top of that, we want to make sure the experience is not different from platform to platform," Hojengaard continued.

Set in 2047, Prophet is on a revenge mission after uncovering the truth behind Cell Corporation's motives for building the quarantined Nanodomes. The citizens were told that the giant citywide structures were resurrected to protect the population and to cleanse these metropolises of the remnants of Ceph forces. In reality, the Nanodomes are CELL’s covert attempt at a land and technology grab in their quest for global domination. With Alien Ceph lurking around every corner and human enemies on the attack, nobody is safe in the path of vengeance. Everyone is a target in Prophet’s quest for retribution.

Act of Valor Movie Trailer | Real Navy SEALs

This movie looks amazing! Watching both trailers alone, left me speechless, proud and inspired. This movie portrays real-life heroism, real tactics, real Navy SEALs, based around real missions. Using battlefield technology and real ammunition, almost looks like a military-oriented video game (ex. Battlefield, Call of Duty franchises) makes the movie be even more action packed!  There are some scenes using tropes like the "soldier POV cam" to give it that first person action feel, to be more authentic and entertaining. Watch the making of Act of Valor movie trailer below and see how they envisioned the making of the movie.  Be sure to watch this film!

For all you gamers out there that play Battlefield 3, head over to Actofvalor.com , click on the link to watch the trailer and earn your free Battlefield 3 Dog Tags.  Also do not forget to click on the link to thank our troops!

Synopsis:
An unprecedented blend of real-life heroism and original film making, Act of Valor stars a group of active-duty Navy SEALs in a powerful story of contemporary global anti-terrorism. Inspired by true events, the film combines stunning combat sequences, up-to-the minute battlefield technology and heart-pumping emotion for the ultimate action adventure. Act of Valor takes audiences deep into the secretive world of the most elite, highly trained group of warriors in the modern world. When the rescue of a kidnapped CIA operative leads to the discovery of a deadly terrorist plot against the U.S., a team of SEALs is dispatched on a worldwide manhunt. As the valiant men of Bandito Platoon race to stop a coordinated attack that could kill and wound thousands of American civilians, they must balance their commitment to country, team and their families back home. Each time they accomplish their mission, a new piece of intelligence reveals another shocking twist to the deadly terror plot, which stretches from Chechnya to the Philippines and from Ukraine to Somalia. The widening operation sends the SEALs across the globe as they track the terrorist ring to the U.S.-Mexico border, where they engage in an epic firefight with an outcome that has potentially unimaginable consequences for the future of America.

Star Wars: The Old Republic | Introduction to Gameplay

"For generations the Galactic Republic knew peace, until the ancient Sith Empire returned from unknown space to reclaim what was once theirs. Watch as hundreds of years of peace is shattered by the sudden and violent reemergence of the Sith in the new Game Intro Cinematic Trailer Return."

Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place more than 3,500 years before the rise of Darth Vader. The most powerful Sith Empire in history has emerged from deep space to attack the Republic and its legendary Jedi guardians. After decades of war, a tenuous truce has been established between the Sith Empire and the Republic, but events occurring in the game are leading the galaxy back to an all-out war.

With the recent release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, I wanted to find a good article to share for those that are new to the MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game world.  Being the fastest growing MMO game ever, with above over 1 million users. Below I will list what I have found and also system requirements for good functional gameplay.

"10 ten things that you should probably familiarize yourself with when you first step into the galaxy far, far away.

1. Don't expect to see Luke Skywalker or Boba Fett anywhere. The Old Republic is set over 3,500 years before the events depicted in the films, which makes for a refreshing backdrop. However, you can certainly see familiar styles and technologies.

2. You need to pick sides. In this wide ranging conflict, you can opt to side with either the Galactic Republic, or the Sith Empire, in a classic goodies vs. baddies storyline.

3. Once you have chosen, you get to select your class and race. Race is certainly less important than it is in other MMOs, but your class is what will define your play-style and role in the game. If you want to be life-saving healer, go with a Jedi Consular for example. Or if you prefer to rain fiery explosive destruction on your enemies, pick a Bounty Hunter. Each side has four classes to choose from.

4. Each class then has two advanced classes that you get to choose from when you reach level 10. This is what determines the exact roles that your character will fulfill in the game. A Sith Warrior, for example, gets to choose between Marauder and Juggernaut advanced classes. The former is purely focused on damage, whereas the latter is more designed for a tanking role. Choose carefully, because this cannot be undone.

5. You can be a bad Jedi, or a cheery bounty hunter. Even once you have settled on a side, your choices in the game will affect your overall morality. When you interact with NPCs (non-player characters) in the TOR universe, you will usually be given a selection of responses to their questions. Sometimes, your response will result in an overall increase or decrease in your moral compass. Consistent bad behavior will eventually earn you a Dark Side ranking. These rankings can then be used to unlock specific pieces of equipment and armour. They can also have an impact on how future NPCs deal with you.

6. Make good use of your companion. At around level nine you will pick up a companion. Like a hunter's pet in WoW, your companion can tank for you, or do some damage, or even heal you. Unlike your lazy pet, however, your TOR companion can also sell off your junk items, gather materials, craft items, and be sent off on a variety of missions. No longer do you have to traipse around looking for nodes to mine or flowers to pick, instead what you have is a very simple people management mini-game. If you aren't used to MMOs then you probably won't appreciate this feature so much, but for those who have spent 100 hours fishing in a game, it will seem like a godsend.

7. Group up. Like every other MMO out there, TOR has areas that are intended for groups of players working together. These will range from two to four player sections, including companions, and could be just a single room in a building, or an entire section of story. These Flashpoints, as they are known, can be repeated as many times as you like, and will start to appear as early as level six or seven for some players.

8. Join up. To make it easier to find other players for Flashpoints, it is advisable to join a guild on your server. These groups of players have their own dedicated chat channels and other benefits. You can also group up with others to do regular quests, and having some regular partners for this certainly helps your social experience of the game.

9. Master the controls. This couldn't be simpler for an experienced player of WoW or other MMOs, since almost all of the default controls are identical. You still use B to open your inventory, you still use tab to change target, and you still use spacebar to jump. If you aren't familiar with the controls, you can go into options and look at the key bindings. These can be easily changed to suit your style.

10. Have fun! This is undoubtedly the most important thing I could say about this or any other game. TOR is meant to be fun, and if you aren't having enough of it, you aren't playing the right game. Yes, at times it will be frustrating. Yes, you will encounter other players who are total jerks. But as long as every time you log off you were pleased you logged on, then it is all worth it."

Sam Shepard- Huffpost Tech (Huffington Post UK).

News | Battlefield 3 Beta 'will look, play and sound better than the beta'

In a response to recent disappointments expressed by some fans over the quality of the on-going beta, DICE General Manager Karl Magnus Trodsson explains that the public beta is built on "quite early code."

"The Battlefield 3 Open Beta is based on software that is more than one month old," he wrote on the Battlefield blog.

"Just like normal procedure when releasing a game, the Open Beta has had long lead times due to testing, certification, and setting up. This means that the code you are now playing is actually quite early and not representative of the final game."

"We had to do this in order to have as many people testing as possible, in order to ensure a top quality experience when the game is released."

He has assured Battlefield 3 Beta participants that the final version of the game will feature a host of improvements based in part by fan feedback.
