Destiny Beta Coming First To PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3

Bungie confirmed today the Beta test  for Destiny is set to launch first on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.  The studio released a trailer seen below to congratulate Sony on it's launch of the PS4 in North America. The trailer is part of Spike's PlayStation 4 all access event last night.

But do not worry Xbox One fans, the beta will also be released for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but it'll be out on Sony's platforms first.  Just had to throw that in there.

Bungie did not release any further details as to when the beta test will be released.

Destiny is an action game from the creators of HALO, set in a mysterious future.  Create a unique and powerful character, customize the way you look and fight, and explore the frontiers of our lost worlds.

Destiny features a compelling storyline, competitive multiplayer, cooperative gameplay choices, wide open public combat destinations, and third-person community spaces where you can repair and rearm before going out on your next adventure. - Bungie

UNCHARTED PS4 Teaser!

At the PS4 all access event that previewed the launch of the next-gen console in North America, included one major reveal teaser for the upcoming device.  A new Uncharted game by developer Naughty Dog.

The teaser just has a small amount of footage, the studio's Community Strategist Arne Meyer stated in a blog:

"We have great news for all our Uncharted fans - Amy, Justin, and the team are hard at work on an amazing new installment of the Uncharted series to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 system.  Our goal is to continue what we've done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4."

The new Uncharted game may or may not be called Uncharted 4, as he also mentioned in comments that the new game will receive it's full name and launch date for the PS4 at a later time.

Killzone: Shadow Fall | New Launch Trailer

Since Sony had announced the PS4 and all it's features, along with some new titles coming out for the console, they wanted to come out with a bang! With a new Killzone: Shadow fall being one of the highlights.  The new trailer teases some sci-fi shooter action scenes as well as it's mechanics.  Every single game in the series has shown off Sony's hardware, providing some of the best looking games.  If this trailer is anything to go by, it may be one of the amazing shooters when it launches along side the PS4.

Synopsis:
Set thirty years after the events of the Killzone trilogy, the world of Killzone Shadow fall is a very different place.  Forced together by circumstances, the two rival factions of the Helghast and the Vektans live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall.

This all new gameplay is not like what we've seen on most Need For Speed Series, with new multi-player options, free to choose racer or cop, personal customization and no waiting lobbies?! Need for Speed Rivals will be available for the new upcoming PS4 and XboxOne later this year.  But will be released for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 on November 19, 2013.

High Stakes Rivalry
Racers are lone wolves out for their own glory; driving agile cars built for high speed racing and epic chases. Cops work in teams to hunt down and bust racers using the full power of the police force.
Switch roles at any time and watch the stakes grow in an all-new scoring system that lets you put your speed points on the line to earn even greater rewards.

All-Drive
New in Need for Speed Rivals, All-Drive destroys the line between single-player and multi-player gameplay. Seamlessly join a world where your friends are already racing and chasing. No lobbies. No waiting.  Paths cross and experiences merge, creating a world where your race and your friend's pursuit collide.

Next-Gen Racing
The power of the Frostbite 3 gaming engine brings the breathtaking scope and high speed action of Redview County to life. Every detail of the game world is rendered in stunning, high definition, next generation graphics, while weather conditions constantly change as you race and chase in snow, hail, rain, dust storms and heavy fog.  Connect with the Need for Speed Network to drop roadblocks or alert friends of inbound cops. Compare your progress against your rivals and share pictures of your best races and chases.

Your Car, Your Identity
Power up your car with the latest upgrades in pursuit technology and personalize your bodywork with fresh paint jobs, liveries, custom license plates, rims, and decals to show off your car to the world.
Save different configurations and keep a variety of car packages on alert to leave your mark no matter the situation.

Pursuit & Evasion Tech
Intense racing moments are made even more thrilling with access to technology and upgrades customized to each side of the law.  Racers can choose evasion technology from jammers to electromagnetic pulses. Cops are outfitted for aggressive busts with shockwaves, roadblocks, helicopter support and more. No matter the side you choose, use technology to stay one step ahead of your rivals.

PlayStation 4 Announcement - In Case You Missed It!

Yesterday PlayStation announced their new console the PlayStation 4! After years of rumors and speculations, it is real and I'm glad it is.  I attached the PlayStation announcement video below in case you missed it! I have also included some key highlights below, imagine your friends’ faces as you “Pwn” them in real-time?! Now stop imagining, because it’s going to happen!

The PlayStation 4 is an advanced, x86-based (32-bit) personal computer, making it easier to develop for, solving a major issue with game developers as they do with the PlayStation 3. Sony is emphasizing ease over specs, following the trend of mobile technology. This console is packed with all the power you want!

The PlayStation 4 gives you the freedom of background downloading, something that some of the more powerful PCs do, allowing you to play the game before it’s even done downloading. That is something PCs have never done.

It features a touchpad at the top face of the controller, centered above the analog sticks. The PlayStation 4 camera tracks the players’ movements much like the Xbox Kinect, but it also tracks the controller and other objects in 3D space for an enhanced player experience.

"The online personality of the player has been upgraded to actual video, allowing you to say goodbye to avatars and digital characters in stead of showing the gaming community your true face. You’ll also be able to watch friends or “celebrities” play! You can also play your PlayStation 4 games with your PlayStation Vita. This will enable you to go mobile with your games wherever you can get a WiFi signal."

The only downside is that there will be no native PlayStation 3 backward compatibility. However, you can play them using your PlayStation Vita with Remote Play.
